Last Sunday, we attended a scrapbooking session hosted by Canon. My girls were looking forward to the session while I was feeling rather nervous as we were attending the session as a family of 6 – a first for media events. I didn’t have many choices – my helper goes on leave on Sundays, the girls wanted to attend and I didn’t want to leave the baby at home, so after looking at our options, we thought we’ll just bring out “kampong” along.
The session was held at Burgers Vs Wings + Bar, Orchard Central and the food was superb. After a hearty lunch, it was time to get our hands busy with some serious fun working. I had the Canon PIXMA / MAXIFY Printing Solutions App pre-installed on my phone, and all I needed to do was to select photos from my phone and send them to print via the app.
Apart from the photos, we were also given scrapbook paper, printed cards and decorative print-outs to work with. With so many beautiful prints to choose from, the girls couldn’t decide which to use while the little boy couldn’t wait to start.
I got the girls to work on a page each while Nat and I worked on 2 pages together .
After about an hour, 2 minor meltdowns, and a few toilet breaks, the 3 little ones and I made this…
Pretty neat, right? All this while, daddy and I took turns to carry baby manny, bring the kids to toliet and crowd control. I think we did pretty well this round. We should be able to attend more media events are a family of 6 more often, methink.
