Splashing at SPLASH@Kidz Amaze

Have you been to the newest indoor water playground in town? It’s the biggest attraction at the newly opened SAFRA Punggol, some say in the NorthEast; I think it’s quite safe to say in the entire Singapore! Cos, everyone seems to be talking about it.

It all started with a bunch of kids who got together to sketch out what they imagined to be the coolest playground possible. The adults at Kidz Amaze were so thrilled, they built a playground out of the sketches and here we are, playing in the realisation of the children’s dream. Pretty cool, if you ask me. It’s a little wonder why Splash@Kidz Amaze is such a big hit with the kids!

The playground comprises 2 main sections, the waddling pool for younger kids where it the water is shallow and more forgiving on the parents – You won’t get too wet playing in this area with the kids.

The main water feature is where the serious splashing begins. Don’t bother to hide, there is no way, and I repeat NO WAY you can be any lesser than drenched in this area.

Because my kids were not daring enough for the big tall slides, and the smaller slide wasn’t cool enough for them, they were going up and down the green slideover and over again…

and in different styles!

If you are planning to bring you kids to Splash, I would say the best time is after six. Cos shortly after, you will be able to see the playground’s lighting change for the night. I personally prefer the lighting at night, it’s more exciting and dreamy, don’t you think?

Apart from the water playground, there are also 3 themed party rooms in the facility:

The Pirate Cove, which is excellent for Pirate parties.

Under The Sea, where the fishes roam freely and the kids walk on water (floor decal).

Penguin Paradise, where happy little penguins gather to attend your birthday party!

I guess it’s pretty easy to tell which is our favourite party room here. I can so imagine a Pororo theme party along the way.

Can’t wait to head down to Splash@Kidz Amaze?
Here’s what you need to know before putting on your swim suits 🙂

Age limit
Only children between the age of 18mo and 13yo are allowed to play in the facility. Adults are welcome… only if you are accompanying a kid.

Health Checks
Expect temperature checks and hands and feet inspection at the entrance. The crew needs to ensure that your little ones are well before granting the access to the playground.

Adult Supervision
SAFRA encourages family bonding, so the playground is designed for adults to join in the fun with the kids. So, erm no excuse la. Pack your swim wear and be prepared to splash too.

Shower facilities
I have to say the shower facilities there is beyond my expectations. The water temperature is adjustable (I hate bathing in cold water) and shower foam is provided. The lockers are conveniently located in the toilet, which is great for my mummy-brain – I often forget to bring an item or two to the toilet for the kids and drag walking to and fro, in and out of the toilet to bring them.

Admissions
Splash@Kidz Amaze is open to public, so everyone can use the facility. However, KidzAmaze members and SAFRA members gets member rates here.
